Our lovely mare Flirt has foaled a stunning chestnut filly by Pendley Gold Cup (aus), shes very leggy and looks as though she will make park hack height. Photos to follow
7 December
Another great weekend out for the show team, and the last of 2009 at Motueka A&P Show. Burleighvilla Just A Rumour had his last outing for the season, shortly he will be turned out for a well earned break. The Saddle horses will contintue working towards the bigger shows for the season, Grand Nationals in January and Horse of the Year in March. Results are on the Show Results page.
24 November
A great weekend for Burleighvilla at the Nelson A&P Show beginning on Sunday with Burleighvilla Just A Rumour winning Champion Led Pony Youngstock and Supreme Led Pony. Sunday saw Hopefield All Talk step into the ring with Alice Hamer on board winning Res Champion Open 14.2 Pony and the NZ Riding Pony Society Sash. Out In Style had a great morning winning Champion Novice Hack and the QCD ltd Champion Open Hack. A fantastic weekend, and thankyou to all those that helped out, you know who you are.



15 November
A great outing for Out In Style, at the Moutere PC Show, winning all his classes before going Champion Hack, Supreme Horse of the Show and Runner Up Paced and Mannered Horse of the Show.
7 November
31st Oct saw "Out in Styles" second outing, winning Champion Hack and Supreme Overall at the Westport Mini Show. Today saw the debut of our yearling gelding, Burleighvilla Just A Rumour, at the Marlborough A&P Show, taking everything before him, Best Youngstock Exhibit (ponies and hacks), Champion Led Pony (youngstock and adults) and Grand Champion Led Exhibit, he handled the outing extremely well and I couldnt be happier with him.


26 October - Update
Friday the 23rd saw the birth of our fourth foal for the season, Willowcroft Ice Magic [imp] (Willowcroft Wizard ex Willowcroft Hill Flower) had a tiny bay colt by Birchwood Bubbling Champagne [imp] (Myscal Encore ex Radford Lodge Manuscript).
Yesterday saw Out In Style having his first outing in NZ, a very tense morning but eventually working well to win his novice paced and mannered class and place 2nd in his open paced and mannered.

21 October - Back online...
The website is finally back up and running and with some exciting news!! We have had 3 lovely foals born, A chestnut (grey) filly from Miltondale Flare (Greenlee Jubilation ex Miltondale Royal Flash) and sired by Nala Master Nicholas (Strinesdale Mastermind ex Nichola of Nala), and both Edencourt Merry Melody (Eastdale Merry Man ex Grenadier Twilight Opera) and Owendale Patience [imp] (Janinos Little Joker ex Ashlands Cover Girl) produced bay colts by Birchwood Bubbling Champagne [imp] (Myscal Encore ex Radford Lodge Manuscript). Another lovely mare has joined our breeding program, the beauitful, imported, thoroughbred mare, Ascot Mascara joins us from Graemar Lodge Stud, she will be served by Burrendah The Wizard [imp] this season.
10 August - Sales and Purchases
Willow Park Spiced Coffee has sold to Kerry Jordan of Invercargill, I wish Kerry all the best with Spice. I have purchased the sensational broodmare, Willowcroft Hill of Grace (Willowcroft Wizard ex Snowgoose) from Bree Petrie. Dam of On the Prowl of Whiterose (ex Urubula Regal Promise) a big winner under saddle and Birchwood Silver Lining (ex Myscal Encore) a winner at the foal shows. "Grace" will be put infoal before being imported.
26 July - Update
Southwind Could Be A Rumour (Langtree Just So ex Southwind Its A Rumour) has settled into her new home with Lisa Ellis in Blenheim, who was taken by her amazing nature along with her other attributes. I wish Lisa the best of luck with Jazz, she has a career inhand and under saddle planned.
9 July - Update
Both Ataahua Classical and Burleighvilla Just'a Rumour have been gelded. I took Birchwood Bubbling Champagne to the Nelson Breeders Winter Show on Sunday the 28th June where he won his Male over 3 Class in the 133cm and under ring, before going on to be named Champion Led Adult over both pony rings.
26 May - Update
The forsale page has been reloaded in its new layout, aswell as having "Nala Master Nicholas" added to the list forsale. I have a few photos of two of Birchwood Bubbling Champange foals, both bred by Vikki Niles of Skibbereen Stud, these to colts are just stunning and I will follow their progress closely.
7 May - Comings and Goings
Southwind Carousel has found a new home with Michelle O'Connor of Reefton (previous owner or Merry Melody), best of luck with her. We have a new addition to the show team, "Out In Style" sired by Warrawee Dundee (Arabian Park Banner ex Adronica) and out of a TB mare, he was destined to be a star, and from very few outings his highest achievement was being named Top 10 Newcommer Hack at Barastoc, He will be making his way to NZ shortly. I would like to thank Bree Petrie for finding me this wonderful horse and the Fegusons for selling him to me. Photos Below are of him straight out of the paddock.
23 April - Moving Homes
Congratulations to Ashlee and Robyn Moroney on the purchase of Burleighvilla Royal Patent (Ascot Royal Emblem (imp) ex Owendale Patience (imp)) I wish you the best of luck with "Saffy" and im sure she will do you proud.
4 April - Merivale Park Serenade Rose (Myscal Encore ex Willowcroft Hill Rose) and Sanlirra Heirloom (Vale Park Spotlight ex Urubula Prima Donna) have both arrived at the stud, and are im sure pleased to be on solid ground. I wish to thank all people involved in having them put infoal and shipped over here, and of course Nathan Berrill for entrusting me with these two beautiful girls.
24 March - We have returned home from a very long, tiring yet very exciting Kelt Capital Horse of the Year Show in Hastings, where we had three horses campaigning. Arosa Tinsel Town - Runner Up Led Registered Riding Pony Exhibit & 6th Inhand Pony of the Year, Centre of Attention - 6th P&M Hack of the Year, 7th Hack of the Year, Bellamonstevos worked well in Rising Stars
21 February - Kelcie Bradley stepped in as a last minute replacement, after I sprained my ankle during another of my sporting interests, volley ball, to lead Arosa Tinsel Town at the Nelson Breeders Show. Kelcie lead her well for a couple of ribbons, this being Kelcie's first ever time doing inhand. I am well on the mend to lead at HOY next month.
11 February - The beautiful and well performed Arosa Tinsel Town (Greenlee Downtown ex Legacy Ovation) has joined the Burleighvilla Show Team. Owned by Vicky Cooper of Arosa Stud, Cheviot, "Polly" will be campaigned by us for the rest of this season inhand, and next, under saddle. Her first show under our banner will be this weekend at the Nelson All Breeds Inhand Show, before heading up to the NZ Horse of the Year Show next month, along with new stablemate BellaMonstevos.
2 February - I have returned home from a vert busy NZ Grand National Showing Championships. Wednesday was the busiest and most successful, winning the Lead Gentlemans Turnout, following this was Champion Led 3 yr old pony and R/U Grand National Champion Led Pony Youngstock with the beautiful Arosa Tinsel Town for owner Vicky Cooper. Then a top 6 placing in the Led Warmblood Championships with an elegant grey hunter for Alice Hamer. I was then fortunate enough to win the NZ Grand National Champion Senior Handler, a great follow on from my Champion Intermediate Handler last year. Then to finish off a long but rewarding day, was winning the Champion Led Hack 4 yrs and over with Rachel Coopers On Guard. Bellamonstevos was inspected by the Riding Pony Society Classifiers, and passed with great comments, she then came out in the ring on Thursday winning Reserve Champion Paced Novice 13.2 Pony, followed by 3rd in the Novice 13.2 Champion Title Class, won by the lovely gelding Willow-Spring Sir Prize. On Firday she was awarded 4th in the First Year Under Saddle Pony title class, for ponies up to 148cm. I will now be able to settle in at home. The For Sale Page will be updated very soon with some top quality stock available.
24 January - The new website is up just in time for me to head away to the New Zealand Grand National Show with BellaMonstevos and I will also be leading Arosa Tinsell Town for Vicky Cooper. We currently have two mares confirmed in foal. NZEA Flirt is infoal to Pendley Gold Cup (aus) (Camargue Tribute ex Pendley Loving Cup) and Sanlirra Heirloom (aus) is infoal to Rosedale Tempting (Fairly Tempest ex Colbeach Simone). More to be added as they are tested. NZEA Regal Flirt (AI) (Willowcroft Regal Emblem ex NZEA Flirt) arrived yesterday and has settled in well.
